During my recent escape with friends, we appreciated the comfortable, air-conditioned apartments, each featuring a private bathroom and a delightful balcony to absorb the coastal views-a perfect touch for sipping a local brew. The on-site restaurant served an array of delicious, authentic dishes that we savored over leisurely breakfasts, under the watchful gaze of the attentive staff. Free parking made our exploration of nearby Rethymno effortless, allowing us to uncover charming tavernas and sun-drenched beaches without the hassle of finding a place to leave the car. Although the hotel isn't the newest in the area, it encapsulates a warm, welcoming spirit that resonates deeply with those of us who embrace both adventure and comfort. I wholeheartedly recommend the River Side Hotel for anyone seeking a blend of hospitality, affordability, and proximity to the stunning Cretan coastline.
